The Homeitarian

More About Me

My name is Ariel. I’m Detroit raised and Metro Detroit living. I am a registered nurse turned stay-at-home mom. I recently embarked on a journey of self discovery and as an outcome, I birthed this platform and my home based travel agency. It’s called, My Travel Trader, LLC. Think of me as a broker for your travel needs, but one who will plan your trip like it is mine. What that means is you're going to have an invaluable, catered-to experience if you work with me and allow me to book your travel. My niche is Disney and Florida Travel for all my super, awesome moms and parents.

My husband Tom and I are coming upon our 4th wedding anniversary. He works in law enforcement. We have 3 children. Noah, who is a lover of animals and wresting, is 8 years old. Graceson, the one who practices autonomy in every way imaginable, is 3 years old. Raegan, the last and final one to come, our little baby girl, is 1 year old. We are content for now as a party of 5. I don’t know what the future holds, but I am done birthing children.

Follow us on Instagram stories and you’ll most likely see me covered in spit up and drinking coffee. Just know that Noah is probably pantless and in a t-shirt, Graceson is somewhere dumping all the toys out on the rug, and Raegan is on the floor, hopefully not crying. Then you’ll see me again just trying to make it until daddy comes home. When daddy is home, I get like a burst of new energy as I finally have adult interaction. I’m now so ready to get out and go an adventure. An adventure is usually going on a Target run and grabbing ice cream or returning an Amazon purchase and...grabbing ice cream. However, since the warm weather is finally coming, I’m all about exploring our fairly new town and it’s surrounding. I also like visiting some "new to us" outdoor places. Ya know, because COVID...still.

Most days I’m drowning in motherhood and virtual learning, but that’s why I’ve created this outlet. Blogging is my expression and it makes up for that lack of adult interaction I mentioned earlier. It is also my public journal and one day it will be my life’s memories.

Outside of writing, I enjoy snapping a picture or two, lots of television, some reading, a little sleeping, long bike rides, rare alone time, and regular breakfast in bed Saturday’s. My interests are photography, collecting vinyls, roller skating, and DIY projects.

I named my blog Homeitarian because that sums me up perfectly. I am thee home expert and thee homebody. It’s a place for moms and women to connect, share, and be vulnerable. I want to uplift you. Let you know you’re not alone. Have you fill your cup with life’s lemonade. I haven't conquered it all. I still struggle, but that’s why I have you. And you have me.
